Card and Sign

My aunt has been taking my mom out to eat just about every Friday for the last couple of months.  I mentioned to her that I would help her out with some money for buying my moms supper, which she does 99% of the time.  My mom is on limited income, so her having even $15 for a quick-eat out dinner is very rare.  So here is a card I a made for my aunt, sort of a thank you card, even though I know I dont need to say "thanks".

You don't choose your family.

on the inside - - -
They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.

This is a blank white card, pre-folded, with patterned paper that I am not sure where I got it from, a sticker and the light green is Bazzill cardstock.  The inside was written by hand, for that "personal touch".

Someone quit work a couple of months ago, they haven't moved anyone in her office.  One of my friends there, always says she wants it "cause she dont play well with others", lol.  She is sort of out in the open, in a cubicle.  That office would be nice for her to have.  Sometimes she needs to bring one or both of her little ones to work for a while.  And when she does, she takes her work into that office and closes the door.

I wrapped a peice of cardboard in regular copy paper to hide the edge of the cardboard.  Then I layered dark green Bazzill cardstock, patterned paper, and light green Bazzill cardstock.  I printed with the computer "doesn't play well with others" onto the light green, and used a couple of stickers and some ribbon to hang it with.

The font is Scrap Calligraphy, I got as a free download at www.scrapnfonts.com.

I am soooo proud of myself for getting TWO projects done this weekend!!  I know my husband is just glad I am using my stuff that is scattered out on the kitchen table. lol

  1. I love that card! I like designs that are simple but pretty, and this card looks just perfect.

  2. Both of these projects are adorable! I haven't been doing much crafting lately because I get a little too much help from my 2 year old.
