Ready to come back!

I will be back to posting shortly.  Sorry I have been away.  I changed jobs, and well, working 60-65 hours a week kinda' puts blogging on the back burner.

So, that season is behind us (almost) and now I can get back to normal.

Bird card

I have had this patterned paper for quite some time now.  I didn't want to use it because I love it!  But I caved when I came up with this idea for a card.  It just screamed "USE ME ALREADY!!"  LOL

cardstock: Hobby Lobby
ribbon: Hobby Lobby
ink: SU Chocolate Chip (sponged on the edges)
punch: SU Two-Step Bird Extra Large
paper: I have no idea where I got it.  On the back it read "www.daisydspaper.com" but it didn't take me anywhere. Sorry.

SO in love with you

I tore off a small wad of toilet paper, scrunched it up, and then dabbed on the ink pads, then dabbed on the cardstock.

Simple LO's

I am a simple person.  And that carries over to my scrapbook.  And cards.

LO of my daughter on the first day of 7th grade, August 2006.

LO of stepson.  Pictures taken Winter thru Summer of 2006.  He would not let me take a picture for the first day of school for him, so I just put a few together for his LO.

(yes, he needed a haircut!!)

LO of my dear, sweet hubby.  The quote is from Winnie The Pooh.  I played around with the picture, and got 3 very different effects.  I cannot remember what program I used, it was a free one from the internet.  And it was a few years ago.

If you live to be 100,
I want to live to be 100
              minus one day.
So that I never have to live a
             day without you.

(I love this man!)

All cardstock is Bazzill.  Patteren paper and solid colors are from various packs of paper I had at the time. Letters on Jenn and Kyle's pages are stickers. I colored J and H with a marker.  Quote on Frank's page is computer printed on white cardstock.

I used this Tri-Fold Angle tutorial to make this . . .

Thanks to Annette at Lavender Thoughts for the tutorial.

Simple and Versatile

I made this card for our card swap.  I actually ordered the square punch AFTER I cut all these squares out.....I made 8 cards.....32 squares were cut out.....by hand......hence the reason for buying a punch.....much easier!!!

I also sent this one out as a Birthday card to my cousin's daughter who celebrated her 17th birthday.  I thought she needed a "grownup type" of card.  After all, she is not one of our babies anymore.  She has blossomed into a beautiful young lady.

I will probably use this layout alot.  It's simple and versatile.

That's my kind of card ~ simply versatile.

Masculine Card

This card was my first masculine card.  I find it a challenge to make "guy cards".  My husband asked if I could make one for a co-workers husband who was celebrating his 60 birthday.  I really like this couple, they are so sweet and have helped hubby out in many a tight spot over the years.  So, how could I say no.

Rainy, cold and cards

Turned off rainy and cold. YUCK!!

We had a taste of Spring last week.  Didn't last long. :-(  Please Spring come back to us!!!!

My friend, Tanya, came over today.  She wanted my help, and use my stuff, to make some bookmarks for her co-workers.  I didnt get a picture cause she didnt finish them.  She has a friend that can do Caligraphy, and she is wanting her to put their initial on it.

And I made cards for our stamp club card swap.  Stampin Up paper, ink and chalks (used with blender pen), and Stickles on the flower.  I ♥ Stickles.

After Tanya left, I made a card for my cousins birthday and a baby shower card (which I am not happy with so we won't talk about that one).  Well, I made it for the wrong cousin.  *crap* Oh well, the correct cousin will receive a belated birthday card cause I am done for the day.  (sorry Aslinn)

I have a job interview next Monday at a company that is literally a mile down the road. Well, you have turn a couple of times, but still A MILE.  That would be soooo cool to work that close to home!

Till next time....... :~)

Blog much?

Umm, no I don't. LOL

I haven't blogged cause I have nothing to blog about.  Well, I did have surgery.  It was my gallbladder causing me troubles.  So, now it's gone.

Here are a couple of cards I have done for various family birthdays.

Stamps and ink are Stampin Up, paper is whatever or Bazzill cardstock.

We are starting to build our shop.  Thought I would get to landscape the front this Spring but it might have to be another year.  Got to get this shop built, so hubby has somewhere to work on our vehicles at.  I should really say, Kyle's vehicles.  That boy and his trading cars.  Drives me crazy.

Anyway, that's an update from me.  If you can call it an update. HA!
