Happy 22nd Birthday

How many times have you said "I can't believe how time flies by"?

In the blink of an eye, your baby goes from this . . .

(Taken June 11, 1994. She was a whole 5 days old here)

To this . . .

(Taken December 25, 2016. A little over half way to 22.)

My beautiful baby is now a beautiful young lady.

About to tell on myself here:
This is the 22nd time I have wished My Girl a Happy Birthday
and the first time I have made her a card!
How does that happen? LOL

I love you to the moon and back, Junebug.

Mason Jar Rehearsal Invitation

I had posted a couple of months ago when I was designing the rehearsal invitation.

Here is the final product...

I changed the top element from a stamped image to an embossed image.

And I decided to go with Kraft card stock instead of Whisper White.

I designed the layout in Word. And printed onto the Kraft card stock.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to design the initial in the mason jar. Sent that to the printer and hand cut them out.

* glad that's over :) *

I like it when someone asks me to make them something and they are happy with the final product.

Rehearsal Invitation

We all know what that is don't we?

If you don't, it's called a Stamp-a-ma-jig. And it is a very nice tool to have.
It takes a little getting used to. And you need to have some patience. Or at least I do. :)

I got it out and used it to help make up a couple of examples for a friend.

Love how the purple and yellow come together.

I hope you can see past all the purple blocks. Privacy and all ya' know. :)

The words are printed thru my home computer. The mason jar is an image I traced in my Silhouette Cameo, added the initials then sent to my printer. I hand cut that out. My friend wants 20 invitations. So it looks like I will be cutting out a lot more.

Thought I would try a yellow mason jar, just for a pop of color.

I kinda like and I kinda don't.

I know I can't be the only one that can't make a decision.

Guess What???!!!

I came up with a totally different idea. The results are gorgeous and I went a totally different route with the colors.

Sorry though. You will have to wait for the reveal!

Don't hate me, LOL!!

A little about my journey into stampin'

About 10 years ago, I started a scrapbook of my wedding.

I had every intention of continuing to make scrapbooks. I had my daughter and now a stepson that I wanted to make books about. And we had a dog now. And the kids were active in school. So I would have lots to scrap!

Life was happening, and things were going well.
Then they weren't.

Work.
Family.
Health.
Life in general.

So the scrappin' got put on hold. I never finished any of the books, except our wedding.

Then I made a new friend. And she introduced me to Stampin UP.

I joined her group. Made new friends.
We were going strong for a few years. Everything was great!
Then it wasn't.

Work.
Deaths.
Health.
Life in general.

So our little group fell apart. We were all so sad. And lonely.
I had a few get togethers at my house so we could get our stamping fix.

Last year (2015) I could feel the "need" to become a Demo. I made the decision late in the year to start in January.

So here I am.
SU Demo.
And loving it.

New Adventure

I have been pretty busy lately with two jobs, church and the VFW, all that takes up a lot of time. And I have managed those pretty well, but have decided to throw something else into the mix.

I am now a Stampin' UP Demo!

Woohoo!!

My starter kit shows delivered. I have my first club meeting scheduled for this coming Saturday. I'm ready!!

Let's do this!
